Ex. Regal Chesterfield Compton

Built in 1936, the Ex. Regal Chesterfield 3c/7 Compton has recently been purchased by club member, Edd Hordley! Since being installed in its current home (A church in Salford) in 1968, the Vox Humana rank and percussions have been removed. This organ did not feature a patent Compton Melotone unit, which was unusual for organs built at this time.

Due to its recent purchase, members of the Cannock Chase Organ Club have removed the organ piece by piece and put it away in storage for eventual restoration. Percussions have also been sourced to put back on the organ, as well as a Vox Humana rank. It is also possible that an illuminated surround may be added to it.
